Curtis-Straus ITL test reports accepted by all RBOCs and Carriers

Curtis-Straus is an Independent Test Laboratory (ITL) providing complete NEBS testing

News Flash:

Verizon names Curtis-Straus as an Approved ITL for NEBS Testing

Curtis-Straus is a leading expert in NEBS testing. Jon Curtis has presented at the last six Verizon/Industry NEBS conferences. Leading NEBS testing efforts since 1992, Jon is actively involved in daily NEBS testing at Curtis-Straus.

From Earthquake to Fire to Mixed flowing Gas to EMC, Curtis-Straus does the complete NEBS testing program at our own facilities located in Littleton Massachusetts. Consolidating your NEBS testing program at one laboratory leads to improved time to market and compressed test schedules.

We provide a certification program for NEBS allowing you to proudly promote your "NEBS certified" status at trade shows and to prospective customers.  We allow the use of test data from Curtis-Straus and other independent laboratories in the certification effort. Product labels, promotional plaques and listing in our online directory are available to certified products.

Curtis-Straus test reports have been found acceptable to all RBOCs. Curtis-Straus has worked hard to understand and apply the individual requirements of each RBOC and carrier, including Verizon, SBC, Qwest, Bell South, AT&T, MCI, Worldcom and Sprint. At Curtis-Straus the job doesn’t end with the delivery of the report. Due to the complexity of NEBS standards, often the Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC) representative reviewing the test report may need further interpretive guidance on particular aspects of a product’s compliance and Curtis-Straus is experienced in helping our customers provide that information.

Curtis-Straus’ GR-63 laboratory in Littleton, Massachusetts has been specially designed from the ground up to accommodate the special needs of NEBS equipment. From extra tall 8’ doors on all walkin chambers to dual 400A 48VDC busses distributing power throughout, the facility is designed to do NEBS. Our laboratory at 527 Great Road was one of the first in the North East to offer GR-1089 testing and has the most capacity of any NEBS laboratory with four Open Area Test Sites operating double shifts ensuring flexibility in scheduling to react to product retro fixes or availability issues. Curtis-Straus is your one-stop-shop serving the NEBS testing community. Manufacturers of telecom central office equipment have long recognized Curtis-Straus as a leading expert in NEBS testing. Curtis-Straus’ experts bring insight, technical expertise, and outstanding customer service to the NEBS test sequence.
