Featured Speaker At 6th Annual Industry Wide NEBS Conference
(Littleton, MA April 5, 2000) Jon Curtis is presenting at the NEBS industry conference in Baltimore this October 4-5. His presentation will focus on GR-1089-CORE Sections 4-9. Jon will also jointly present a comparison of GR-1089-CORE with other industry standards such as those published by ETSI. Jon has written several articles on NEBS compliance, most recently one in Conformity on GR-63-CORE system level fire resistance testing.
NEBS 2000 is a two-day symposium cosponsored by Bell Atlantic and Telcordia (formerly known as Bellcore). The symposium features panel members representing all of the Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs), a select group of knowledgeable test laboratories, and standards and requirements writing organizations who will answer your questions about NEBS compliance issues. Jon Curtis is a founder and Director of Engineering of Curtis-Straus LLC, a testing laboratory providing EMC, Telecom, and Product Safety Testing services. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts and is active on several standards making committees including ANSI C63 on EMC. He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE), the Northeast Product Safety Society, and the IEEE EMC Society. He is a NARTE certified EMC and ESD Engineer with additional endorsements as an Accredited Test Laboratory Engineer. He is a former member of the ANSI Board of Standards Review.
