Curtis-Straus Now Directly Offers Worldwide Telecom Testing

(Littleton, MA – November 22, 2000) – Curtis-Straus is pleased to announce the expansion of their telecom test facility.

Curtis-Straus has acquired the Littleton based, BSI international telecom test facility assets. With this acquisition Curtis-Straus can immediately offer testing to European, far-East and Australian standards. The senior engineer, John O’Dowd (formally with BSI), has joined the Curtis-Straus team. Curtis-Straus continues to enhance its services and pursue new accreditations to ensure its reports are acceptable to regulatory authorities worldwide.

Curtis-Straus will continue building relationships with east and central European test laboratories. In the past representatives from the Russian Federation, Czech Republic and Poland have visited the laboratory to witness testing. This arrangement negates the need for manufacturers to visit these countries.

BSI’s former laboratory manager, Barry Quinlan, has taken on the role of manager for Curtis-Straus’s certification department. Barry will continue with his role as project manager for worldwide approvals management.
