Curtis-Straus CAB enters Operational Phase
Curtis-Straus now directly issues EMC Technical Construction File Certificates

(Littleton, MA - January 24, 2001) - The European Union has accepted Curtis-Straus as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for EMC under the Operational Phase of the US-EU Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA). Curtis-Straus now has approval authority previously vested only in EU-based competent and notified bodies. Curtis-Straus can now evaluate product groups and situations outside of the existing EMC standards and issue the authority to claim compliance with the EMC Directive without the intervention of an EU-based competent body.

Curtis-Straus LLC is located conveniently in an 18,000 sq. ft. facility just off 495 in Littleton, Massachusetts. Curtis-Straus has full test capabilities in EMC, Product Safety and Telecom.
