A2LA Accredited Laser Safety Testing Provided
CDRH and IEC 60825-1/2 reports now available in Littleton.

(Littleton, MA - February 25, 2002) - Curtis-Straus LLC announces that it has added laser safety testing and evaluation to their extensive array of regulatory compliance test capabilities. Curtis-Straus has long been providing laser evaluations for products with embedded lasers. Now we are measuring the laser modules themselves and providing test reports for CDRH and IEC laser specifications. Curtis-Straus is accredited by A2LA for laser testing.

Manufacturers of laser products must submit a product report to the CDRH, a division of the US Food and Drug Administration. Curtis-Straus is familiar with the CDRH requirements and can accurately measure and evaluate your laser and write the product report. For products sold internationally, lasers must be measured and evaluated to IEC 60825-1/2. Curtis-Straus can measure and evaluate your laser to these standards as well, producing an international test report supported by A2LA’s worldwide MRA agreements.

Curtis-Straus LLC helps its client companies navigate the regulatory maze of worldwide electrical product approvals. Testing services and consulting are offered in the fields of NEBS, EMC, Product Safety, Telecommunications and, now, Lasers. Curtis-Straus LLC earned a reputation for superior customer service and outstanding technical experience.
