Jon Curtis to
Present at NEBS 2002
Featured speaker at 8th annual industry wide NEBS
conference
(Littleton, MA - March 14, 2002) - Jon Curtis is presenting at the NEBS industry conference in Las Vegas this October 8-10th, 2002. His presentation will focus on a comparison between NEBS standards and International requirements such as EN 300 386 and 300 019. Jon has written several articles on NEBS compliance, and will publish one later in the year on the GR-487 Firearms Resistibility Test.
"NEBS 2002 - Securing the Network." is a three-day symposium cosponsored by Verizon and Telcordia (formerly known as Bellcore). During the conference you will hear first hand accounts from Verizon team leaders who worked feverishly to reconstruct our Central Office located adjacent to "Ground Zero". Part of the presentation will focus on the vital role that NEBS played in the restoration efforts. The tireless efforts of thousands of Verizon employees led to the speedy reopening of the New York and American Stock Exchanges.
Because NEBS encompasses critical electrical and environmental requirements, necessary to gain access to ILEC central offices, the conference will primarily focus on understanding these requirements. There will be multiple talks conducted by industry experts providing tutorials on the various NEBS GRs. Our very successful "Vendor' Corner", introduced at NEBS 2001, will also be an integral part of this years conference.
