Third 10 Meter
Fiberglass Open Area Test Site Opens
Space Age Total Fiberglass Construction Assures Repeatable Measurements
(Littleton, MA - September 26, 1997) - World renowned compliance experts Isidor Straus and Jon Curtis announce that they have completed construction of the third fiberglass open area test site at Curtis-Straus LLC. A third site at Curtis-Straus LLC promises more immediate availability of test time at the region's premier testing laboratory. Featuring full climate control, the facility was designed taking into account accumulated knowledge concerning the detrimental effects of conventional building materials on test site results.
As reported in IEEE technical papers, sites incorporating wood often result in substantial dielectric reflection which can and does lead to inaccurate unrepeatable emissions measurements. Theoretical studies have documented problems associated with as little as one centimeter of wood at 10 Hz. The new facility at Curtis-Straus us totally fiberglass and is RF transparent. Copies of our volumetric site attenuation are available by fax or may be viewed on our company facilities page.
Curtis-Straus LLC is located conveniently in an 18,000 sq. ft. facility just off 495 in Littleton, Massachusetts. Curtis-Straus LLC has full test capabilities in EMC, Product Safety and Telecom. Isidor and Jon's vast standard and design experience assures that their clients receive the support needed to navigate the regulatory maze and the product solutions which have the minimum impact on the bottom line.
