Taiwan BCIQ Accredits Curtis-Straus LLC for ITE Testing

(Littleton, MA - January 15, 1998) - The Taiwanese Bureau of Commodity Inspection and Quarantine (BCIQ) charged with enforcing Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) regulations has accredited Curtis-Straus LLC for testing to Taiwanese standard CNS 13438. CNS 13438 is identical to CISPR 22, the radio frequency emissions standard for Information Technology Equipment (ITE). Curtis-Straus LLC can now perform tests at our facility in the United States and write reports which document compliance with the electromagnetic compatibility regulation of Taiwan.

As part of the accreditation process, Curtis-Straus LLC submitted to a BCIQ review of our ISO Guide 25 quality system and of our extensive testing facilities. Curtis-Straus LLC has previously passed similar evaluations conducted by US government agencies such as National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST) under its NVLAP program and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Internationally, Industry Canada, Australia's NATA, New Zealand Ministry, and Japan's VCCI have all accredited Curtis-Straus LLC.
