LLC Expansion Continues Due To Strong Customer Demand
Second Ferrite-Lined EMC Chamber Added...
(Littleton, MA - August 1, 1998) - A second ferrite-lined semi-anechoic chamber has been added at Curtis-Straus LLC, effectively doubling radiated immunity test capacity. The new chamber is larger at 24' x 12' x 12' and accommodates larger products. The absorber material is a hybrid absorber with high performance ferrite tiles surmounted by 12" carbon-loaded foam cones extending chamber field uniformity performance to 18 GHz. Over the last three months, additional immunity test instruments have also been acquired, doubling capacity in the critical areas of ESD, EFT, Surge, Over-voltage, and Dips/Interrupts. Curtis-Straus LLC has also continued to add self-motivated, conscientious, technically competent individuals to its staff.
...And NVLAP Accreditation Scope Expanded
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) has expanded the scope of Curtis-Straus LLC's accreditation to include FCC Part 68 telecommunications test methods and Australian TS-001 and AS 3260 product safety test methods. Curtis-Straus LLC was already listed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for Part 68 testing, by the NVLAP assessment gives potential clients the added assurance of knowing that Curtis-Straus LLC has been audited to ISO/IEC Guide 25 by an independent NIST contractor for these test methods. The Australian telecom authority NATA recognizes the NVLAP accreditation to Australian test methods under an agreement with NIST. To view the NVLAP certificates, please our accreditation page.
