South Africa Accepts Curtis-Straus LLC CISPR Test Reports
SABS Approvals Now Easier

(Littleton, MA - January 1, 1999) - The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) charged with enforcing Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) regulations has agreed to accept Curtis-Straus LLC for testing to SABS CISPR standards.  SABS CISPR 22 is identical to CISPR 22, the radio frequency emissions standard for Information Technology Equipment (ITE).  Curtis-Straus LLC can now perform tests at our facility in the United States and write reports which document compliance with the electromagnetic compatibility regulations of South Africa.

As part of the acceptance process, Curtis-Straus LLC submitted to a SABS review of our NVLAP accreditation documenting our ISO Guide 25 quality system and of our extensive testing facilities.  Curtis-Straus LLC has previously passed similar evaluations conducted by US government agencies such as the National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST) under its NVLAP program and the Federal Communications Commission.   Internationally, Industry Canada, Australia's NATA, New Zealand's Ministry, Japan's VCCI and Taiwan's BCIQ have all accredited Curtis-Straus LLC.

Curtis-Straus LLC also has compressive capabilities in the areas of Product Safety Approvals and Telecommunications Registration.  From EU telecom approvals to NRTL listing, NEBS/Bellcore testing to Semi S2 evaluations, client companies can obtain approvals for worldwide market access based on one-stop testing at Curtis-Straus LLC.

Interested parties are invited to call to arrange a tour of our facility or to discuss how Curtis-Straus LLC can serve all your compliance needs.
