EU Conformity Assessment Body for EMC, Radio Transmitters and Telecom

(Littleton, MA - June 7, 1999) - The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has nominated Curtis-Straus LLC to the European Union's (EU) Commission as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for three categories under the US-EU Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA). At the end of the MRA transition period, Curtis-Straus LLC should be granted approval authority previously vested only in EU-based competent and notified bodies.

The Curtis-Straus LLC EMC CAB nomination has been verified by the EU Commission. The later nomination lists for Telecom and Radio Transmitters sent y NIST have yet to be acted upon by the EU Commission.

Curtis-Straus LLC is located conveniently in an 18,000 sq. ft. facility just off Route 495 in Littleton, Massachusetts.
