NEBS (Network Equipment Building Systems) testing is a requirement for telecom
equipment to be deployed in a central office facility. Regional Bell Operating
Companies (RBOCs) require the tests to insure network integrity and continuous operation
of the network. The standards most commonly required are Bellcore GR-1089-CORE and
GR-63-CORE. Curtis-Straus LLC offers expert testing to these standards.
NEBS testing can be particularly harsh with EMC tests from 60 Hz to 10 GHz. Power
cross testing is performed at a punishing 60A at 600 VAC. Specialized test equipment
and the expertise to apply the intricate standards appropriately is an art form.
According to customers, our experts have what it takes to get the job right. From a
fully interlocked 75 kW power cross simulator to fully ferrite absorber-lined chambers
instrumented to 10 GHz, Curtis-Straus LLC has made a significant investment in NEBS
testing.
At Curtis-Straus LLC the job doesn't end with the delivery of the report. Due to
the complexity of NEBS standards, RBOC representative reviewing the test report often
needs further interpretive guidance on particular aspects of a product's compliance.
Curtis-Straus LLC will assist you with this process. From Verizon to
AT&T, Curtis-Straus LLC is familiar with the RBOCs and can help expedite you product
acceptance.
Curtis-Straus offers a variety of NEBS related services in addition to GR-1089 and
GR-63. We also perform GR-78 circuit pack level ESD testing. We produce MTBF
reliability analysis reports in accordance with SR-332.
